This yeast collection container can fit the FermZilla fermenters and is primarily used for collection and addition of hops and yeast via the butterfly valve.
This collectoin container can also be used for yeast starters meaning that you can create the yeast starter in this collection container directly then attach to the valve of the FermZilla so you can pitch yeast without needing to open the lid. This collection container has been designed to work with the magnetic stirrer machine.
The ports on the side of this collection container are the same as a standard coke bottle or soft drink bottle. The threads are designed to suit the stainless carbonation caps KL00826 or plastic carbonation caps KL10788. These carbonation caps will enable you to purge oxygen for dry hopping, attach carbonation stone and carbonate liquid in the FermZilla, oxygenate wort and are useful for many other reasons.
This collection container fits all the FermZilla Conical Fermenters and BrewBuilt Unitank Fermenters.
The clear body is made from Tritan from Eastman Plastics. This heat tolerant plastic is BPA, and plasticiser free.
The Lid is made from impact resistant HDPE.
Both lid and body can handle boiling wort.

"Large size! Very good!"
"Second one has failed. Both have cracked threads which causes leaks. No overtighting. Kept in place most of the time as removing is so difficult. Only hand tight. They just can't handle repeated pressure they are rated for. There's a good reason they have been replaced with the tri-conical option."
"This is my reply to Kegland's response. The first ones exterior may have come in contact with Starsan but that's a maybe and I highly doubt multiple times. The second one I'm almost certain it hasn't. I have kept it on the vessel the whole time and only removed to investigate the leak. I'm sure they are more than capable of handling the pressure when new but repeated stress from repeated pressure brewing, no I don't think they can. It appears that certain areas of the threads are under point loading causing the cracks. I'm stoked with the new tri-conical design! Well done! I'm just annoyed that I'm stuck with the threaded version."
"What is the maximum pressure to be able to use it, and is it compatible with the brewbuild bottle?"
"Works as described highly recommended!"
