Viking Wheat 5 kg Crushed Malt

Wheat Malt from Viking Malt, or Hvetemalt, is a main ingredient in Weissbier and Belgian Wit. Wheat malt provides a lighter flavor than barley malt, which can result in a fresher character. It also contributes to greater foam stability in the beer.

Wheat malt has no husk like barley malt and contains more protein (about 14% compared to barley malt's approximately 10-11%). This results in a slightly softer mouthfeel for the beer. However, the increased protein level can also make the mash denser, and too much wheat can lead to a "stuck mash."
