Smoke Eater Fire Pit

"Kegland Smoke Eater fire pit is an excellent design and works very well. The primary and secondary air inlets are well placed to create excellent burning conditions. It lives up to its name and produces minimal smoke. I would give it 5 stars but the fire basket stainless steel quality is not the best, we had surface flash rusting after the unit was left outside overnight and got damp from dew fall. The only rust was on the fire basket the rest of the unit was fine. The unit should be covered and put away after use. If kegland ups the fire basket stainless steel grade to say 304, then this is definitely a 5-star unit and great value for money. Rust was easily removed with a phosphoric acid based stainless steel cleaner. I purchased the additional Vulcan Fire Ring and BBQ Grill Top. I recommend both, they work well."

Does what it says on

"Does what it says on the tin, helps coral the flames on windy days or if you piled the fuel a little too close to the top air vents."

Quality product delivered very quickly

"Just received our 'smoke eater' and just as it (literally) says on the tin, it performs well with little to no smoke. It didn't seem to throw much heat at first but once the flame and the coals were established it was quite effective. A larger version may be good to add to the line-up in future but so far we are very impressed with this little burner. It seems good value for money."
