CHÂTEAU OAT MALT from Castle Malting is malted oats that contribute to a fuller and smoother mouthfeel in the beer. The malt also gives a light grainy flavor that may be reminiscent of muesli.

Oats are often used as an unmalted addition in brewing, but malted oats provide better integration into the malt base and can contribute to increased body and a rounder texture in the beer. It is often used in beer styles where a softer mouthfeel and more body are desired, such as in stouts, ports and modern IPA varieties.
