Cascade 2024 100g Hop Pellets
110285
Cascade is an excellent match for American beer. The hops' excellent aroma makes it one of the most widely used hop types. It is also the most widely used in industrial beer production. The hops were introduced to the market in '72 and are primarily grown in Oregon.
Cascade hops contain moderate amounts of alpha acid, usually around 4.5-7%. Their main function in beer brewing is to contribute aroma. When used as a bittering hop, they can add a touch of bitterness. This fast-growing plant has a lush floral aroma with a hint of spice. The hops' myrcene oil content contributes to aromas of citrus and grapefruit.

The hops are gently weighed, nitrogen flushed and sealed in light-tight aluminum-coated packaging for optimal shelf life.
Flushing with nitrogen displaces oxygen that would otherwise degrade the quality of the hops. This method lowers the oxygen content in the bag to 0.6-0.8% oxygen which is very good for preserving quality/taste/aroma. The hop bag is stored cool at <4 degrees Celsius.
The opened bag is squeezed together and closed with a ziplock for further storage in the refrigerator.
