Bella Citra

Bella Citra is a beer set inspired by the Italian pilsner tradition, with a light malt base and defined bitterness. The recipe produces a light and dry beer with a clean character. A light malt profile forms the basis, where a proportion of corn contributes to a leaner and drier expression. This results in a beer with moderate body and a clear profile.

The beer is dry-hopped with Citra, which adds a distinct citrus note from the hops. The result is a light beer with a pronounced hop character and balanced bitterness.

Surprised it was so good

"Firstly, I didn't order this kit - it came as a freebie during a promotion which I wasn't aware of, but kegland chose it and included it with my order. When it arrived I thought "what a PITA", but I followed the instructions (almost: I left out the mango essence/flavouring and only used half of the dry hops) and it turned out great. It was a big hit with friends. Hoppy, fruity beers were not my thing. . . . but I've had a change of heart."
