Talus, formerly known as HBC 692, was developed by the Hop Breeding Company, a collaboration between Barth Haas and Yakima Chief. Talus has an intense aroma of citrus, flowers, and wood, with notes of grapefruit, stone fruit, oak, coconut, and pine. It is a further development of Sabro.

Packaging:
The hops are carefully weighed, nitrogen-flushed, and sealed in a light-proof, aluminum-coated package for optimal shelf life.
Flushing with nitrogen displaces oxygen, which would otherwise degrade the quality of the hops. This method reduces the oxygen content in the package to 0.6-0.8%, which is excellent for preserving quality, flavor, and aroma. The hops package should be stored in a cool place at >4 degrees Celsius.
Once opened, the package should be compressed and sealed with a zip-lock for continued storage in the refrigerator.
