Getting fast, accurate, and reliable readings during all-grain brewing is essential to getting the best possible efficiencies. Refractometers help you achieve this and can speed up your brew day significantly. Now in a water-resistant design that is rechargeable!

This high-quality refractometer is extremely accurate and easy to use and calibrate.

Calibration is simply done with a few drops of distilled water and the use of a flat head screwdriver.

This model also features ATC (automatic temperature compensation).

Comes with:
Carry case
Red Magnetic Charging USB Charging Cable (AU plug not included)

Calibrate Steps:
1. Add 10 drops of clean filtered water (preferably deionised water) to the refracted sample end of your Refractometer.
2. Either in direct sunlight or using the LED, observe the blue shaded area. Does it read 1.000? If it is higher or lower, you will need to use a flat headed screwdriver and adjust the underside of the Saber Refractometer so that it reads 1.000.

Useful for measuring starting gravity only

"Only useful for measuring SG wort - will not give accurate readings once alcohol is present, ie after fermentation. Not a replacement for a hydrometer. Mentioning this here because I didn't realise this when I bought it."

👍

"Great with the Light, easy to use, Good price"

Not worth the price - too difficult to use

"I'm not sure I can say I like this refractometer, and there's a few reasons: - there are no instructions that come with it, which even though it's pretty basic it would be nice to know what's what. - the SG reading is fuzzy, and no matter what I do I can't get a clear reading. It seems like there's a focus on the eye piece (not sure due to no instructions), but this doesn't clear up the line no matter what I do (using grape juice or demin water tests). - It always seems to be flat when I want to use it, and there's no indication as to when the battery is fully charged - The charge cable / charge port is awful and never stays where it should."

Refractometer

"Use on Oatmeal stout andmBasic but seems to be easy to work and calibrate!"

Matthew C. (5/5)

Great for gravity tracking

"Easy to use, calibrated accurately straight out of the box. The battery lasts for a long time before needing to be charged, but even then, hold it up to a light and the built in light is not needed, although glad it is there! Make sure you do not use it for gravity readings during or after fermentation- alcohol changes the gravity and would need to be converted to account for this. Get your final gravity using the simple hydrometer."

Refractometer (+ charging tip)

"I love this product! bought for the LED light, helps a lot in the basement :) Tips for the future users: In case the charging stop in 5-30 secs after you started (the light at the end of charging cable turns off), try a different USB charger. For me, the ultra fast smart charger didn't work, but an older, dumber charger charges it without any issue!"

for the better brewer

"after seeing the video, bought it and it works perfect. Check the gravity and use this to calibrate the pill. easy peasy"

refractometer

"love it so much easier than the test tube approach and just as accurate"

Excellent

"Works really well and seems quite accurate. The LED light makes the reading much easier to see than on other refractometers."

Q&A

Is it possible to replace battery? As it seems to died in 6 months from purchase. Charging stops in 30 sec, led barly (or not at all) lights up. Pretty sure it's battery.
The battery is not user replaceable, sorry. These have a 12 month warranty though - so drop us an email!
Is it possible to get a replacement for a broken cover glass?
I am afraid we don't have these available, sorry
