The Stainless Steel PolyPhoenix Distillation Parrot can be height adjusted using the wire stand, or mounted directly to your PolyPhoenix Distillation set up via the 1.5" Tri-Clover input port.
If you are mounting this directly to your PolyPhoenix still, we would encourage using some support brackets to counteract weight distribution for stability.
A distillers parrot is a piece of kit that allows you to take alcohol gravity measurements using an Alcometer continuously throughout your pot or reflux run. It should be placed inline of your distillation outlet so that the drops of distillate fall directly into the tallest collection cone.
This Parrot Kit comes with:
1 x KL39567 Quick Swivel Connector 1/2' x Stainless Steel End Cap (18mm)
1 x Small Alcometer Spring Protector (Not sold as a spare part!)
2 x M6 x 14mm Wing Nut and Bolts
When used at maximum height with two wing nuts installed it is 460mm High to the TC Port.
You can also install a 1/2" BSP Ball valve on the bottom port of the parrot to dump and retake a measurement of the current distillate exiting your still.
This product is ultimately designed to be used with a:
1 x KL04305 Alcometer (0-100%) (not included)

My thoughts on the Pelican
"I brought this, but unsure if I'm going to use it, as the temp coming out of the pipe is about 40deg, so unsure how accurate the % will be, however the construction is good however if I was designing it I would use rivnuts on the stand and a sliding adjustable upright instead of 3 adjustable mount holes which I feels limits the possess. the Spring!! well lost that day 1, and its not a replicable part! so i got onto eBay and brought some stainless springs . 2mm 8mm top and 15 mm bottom and use that instead 2 for about 8 bucks!"
