"I have a 100lt Brewzilla, and this get me down to 30 degrees in 30 minutes, if I wasn't recirculating, I could achieve low 30s in one pass as a transfer."
"I have had the unfortunate experience of persevering with 2 of these for a couple years. Both unfortunately have had kinks in the inner tubes, severely restricting the flow rates. The first would block frequently, eventually I put a bore scope camera down it and found the tube was restricted to about 20%. KegLand were legends and replaced the first one well out of warranty. But when I put the bore scope camera down the replacement and found it also had an internal kink, this time only restricting flow to about 75% they said it was acceptable and within tolerance. Then washed their hands of it. I'm sure when they have full flow, they are great. But mine takes over an hour to cool a 100L batch, starting with tap water then using a large glycol unit. Photos are of the internal pipes of both units. The 2nd image was replaced under warranty. The slightly kinked pipe is apparently acceptable."
"This thing is very solidly made and got wort from 80C down to mid 20s no issues just using Brisbane tap water which is quite warm at the moment, have added some quick disconnects and high quality hose to it and it’s a brilliant solution"
"If you can get high flow of cooling water this will work a treat. I don't so transfers are slow but it is a good piece of equipment; easy to clean, mount on a chair with eays to work with inlets and outlets."
"It's as described "coolussus" (It's a brute of thing big and very efficient. Excellent quality well finished. Delivery was quick."
"This thing is built like a tank and chills wort as it should. Lots of tri clamp fittings to set it up just how you like it. Works well with the 100L Brewzilla and 30L Grainfather. Looks cool too."
"Used the coolosus to cool 90L of wort. It went down to 30c in less than 30min. Definitely worth buying!!"
"I have always previously used immersion wort chillers. And in summer it can take ages to chill a full 65 litre brewzilla, to yeast pitching temp. Well not any more, ran my set-up today and cleaned this monster of a chiller. The wort inlet/outlet fittings worked perfectly, no leaks at all, I had some 1/2 inch camlock fittings and I set them up on the water infeed/outfred . Again no issues. I put the water on flat out, and set my brewzilla pump to about half, and the cleaning solution coming out was 22 degrees c ( was boiling ) . The water coming out of the other end of the chiller is not hot, like it is with an Emerson chiller, you could set up a sprinkler on the lawn and therefore not waste any water. More than happy with this unit. It isn't cheap, but no siht it will be one thing you will pass down to your grand kids, its built like a bloody Truck."
