Great for the price
"Gone back to using it after a few years of using the counterflow chiller. Much clearer wort"
KL04787
Sold with the BrewZilla Range, these compact immersion chillers are great for chilling wort up to 35L down to pitching temperature. Ideal solution for those using small pots.
Method 1
This chiller can be used simply by connecting your garden hose to both ends of the chiller. You can either slip the garden hose onto the ends of the chiller directly then secure with stepless hose clamp. Alternatively for a better connetion use the compression fittings.
Then lower the chiller into your hot wort and cycle the water through the chiller until you reach the desired temperature.
While the water is flowing through the chiller if you agitate your hot wort this will significantly aid the heat transfer from the wort to the chiller coil and will reduce the cooling time by more than half.
Method 2
The second method is where you pump your hot wort through the middle of the chiller. Use silicone tube to connect from your boiler to a pump and then through this coil chiller then back to the boiler. Turn on the pump and ensure the chiller has got up to your wort boiling temperature to heat sterilise the coil.
Then immerse the coil into a bucket of ice and water mixed together. Run the pump continously until the wort cools down to the desired point.
Dimensions:
Coiled part of the chiller: 24cm high x 19cm diameter
Total height of the chiller: 41cm
Tubing: 12.7mm, 304 Stainless
12.7mm Compression Fitting recommend for attaching hose fittings. E.g. Homebrew standard Camlock fittings

"Gone back to using it after a few years of using the counterflow chiller. Much clearer wort"
"Worked fine with the g30. I've only used with the garden hose (get the recommended fixtures - they're all great). If you're doing small batches, it won't reach the wort so may have to use a ice bath and run wort through it."
"Great little chiller. Bought. Second hand 3. 1. 1 and was so glad to find I could buy this seperately. Efficient cooling too!"
"Works really well. Fits in digiboil 35l and cools down the wort fast. No smell, no corrosion - just plug and play. You even don't need a fitting for output if decided to use a silicon pipe. I used the same which purchased for the pump 25w."
"But chiller doesnt touch the lower part so it take more time to chill"
"Amazing how much this cools, very good bit of gear"
"Great product, purchased a fish tank pump to feed the water from a bucket filled with ice bricks. Cooled a BIAB down to 20 deg in about 20min"
"Works great, temp from 100c to 20c In 15mins with tank water and bouncing the coil up and down. Return hose going back Into the tank to save water is a bonus. Bottom coils where touching, but it was easy enough to pull them apart."
"Bottom few coils are bunched together which isn't optimal. But it is cheap and gets the job done."
"In the bottom half of the coil the tube were touching. This impacts cleanability and a bit of efficiency. Had to spend a bit of elbow grease correcting this. Bends are not high enough up to get full coil submersion in my 35L Digiboil. Had to modify it to get full immersion. Surface finish on the stainless tube outside is good."
