This beer filter is designed to be used with our Absolute 1 Micron Filter*. This filter works best when used as the middle man when transferring icy cold (-1C) uncarbonated beer between two kegs.  All you will need to do is purchase some hosing, clamps, ball locks and an Absolute 1 Micron Filter to use this system.
If you drink with your eyes, and prefer a crystal clear beer, then this really is the cheapest method to getting crystal clear beer with little to no effort.

This system comes as standard with Duotight fittings that are compatible with our

EVA Barrier 6.5mm ID x 9.5mm OD line

Features;

  • Clear high pressure housing
  • Purge valve to expel air pockets
  • ½” BSP inlet and outlet
  • Includes brass ball valve
  • Brass threaded ports for durability
  • Compatible with other 10” filter systems

This filter can also be used to filter yeast in your distillation wash.  By removing yeast before you put your wash into your boiler this will significantly improve the quality of your final spirit.   Many off flavours in distillation can come from boiling yeast cells.  When the yeast cells get boiled they break open releasing many off flavours aromas and fusil oils.

NOTE: Hot liquids exceeding 50C should not be used in direct contact with the filter housing. Do not use this filter on unrestricted mains water pressure exceeding 70 psi.

*please note Absolute 1 Micron Filter shown in picture does not come with the System, this is a additional purchase.*

Not great

"Asked for advice on what was best filter option for my fruit syrup. Got this housing with washable filter & 25W pump. It didn't work, pump & filter couldn't handle the viscosity."

Works well

"Not sure if it was meant to have only 1 or 2 o ring seals for the two connectors. Used a spare o ring for a corny post to stop it leaking"

Simon L. (4/5)

Perfect

"Did the job perfectly. Cloudy crash chilled cider to clear in no time at all. Liquid flows at a high rate. Washing is reverse flow using hot soapy water. Buy the post connectors and some tubing and disconnect them to wash."

Great filter

"I use it to filter yeast out while transferring to another container. Works well!!!"

Solid unit. Affordable. I ordered

"Solid unit. Affordable. I ordered this one as a backup. Maybe I add it to my kitchen under-sink filter as a 3rd stage."

Filters well but clean & reassemble is hard

"The O ring seal has come off & is hard to seal again."

Q&A

Can this be used as a water filter by chance?
Well, its designed to clarify beer. An RO filter is probably a better solution for water: https://kegland.com.au/products/reverse-osmosis-ro-water-filter-3-4-laundry-wall-mount-50gpd-removes-fluoride-chlorine
